Everyone else checks the AI's answer.
Apodicta computes the answer.
Retrieval grounding reduces hallucination; it cannot eliminate it, because the operative decision — the conclusion itself — is still produced by a generative model. Verification after generation is a bandage on the architecture. The failure mode is structural, so the fix has to be. Apodicta removes the model's authorship instead of supervising it — so the conclusion you read was computed, not imagined.
The inversion: perception is learned; reasoning is computed
What makes it different, mechanically
- Cited atoms. The only object that crosses from perception to reasoning is a fact bound to the exact source page or timestamp that supports it. Uncited facts demote themselves — at construction, in the data type itself.
- The Interpretation layer. Everyone connects a model to logic; Apodicta governs the connection. What relates to what is decided by membership in authored authority vocabularies, executed as code — by rule, never by resemblance. Other systems can hide a hallucination inside that seam; Apodicta's seam is code.
- Specification–Execution Identity. Every rule exists as exactly one executable formula; the rule text is the code. A bijection verifier proves the rules and the pipeline can never drift apart.
- Computed dispositions. Whether a challenge survives is decided by an executable rule over reported facts — not by a prompt, not by the model's mood.
- Fail-closed citation audit. A citation that doesn't resolve gets stamped, struck through, and flagged — a work product cannot be finalized with a silent failure.
The precise claim — and the only one we make: conclusions are computed by deterministic, sound, executable logic over cited facts, so hallucinating the operative conclusion is architecturally impossible. Perception is the disclosed, bounded limit: a model can misread a page; it cannot invent the inference.
Proof, not promises
- In production daily in a working criminal-defense practice — complete case analyses, fully cited memoranda, motions triage; matters up to 83 GB processed end-to-end.
- ~98,000 machine-run validation tests — including an adversarial campaign that injected 10,000 fabricated citations against a real record: 100% caught, zero false positives; 8,745 hostile inputs with zero silently-wrong outputs.
- Try it yourself, right now. The free check at the front page verifies any AI answer against public registries — existence, identity, and quote — with the receipts shown.
- Domain-general. The engine contains no law. Swap the governing-rule library and the same guarantees serve research, insurance adjudication, compliance, credit decisions, clinical-guideline conformance, and eligibility determinations.

Questions AI (and humans) ask about Apodicta
Can AI tools stop hallucinating citations?
Not with the generate-then-check architecture — the model still writes the answer. Apodicta inverts it: the model performs perception only; executable logic computes every conclusion from cited, admitted facts. Hallucinating the operative conclusion is architecturally impossible.
What is the Interpretation layer?
The governed seam between perception and reasoning. Everyone connects a model to logic; Apodicta is the first to govern the connection — what relates to what is decided by membership in authored authority vocabularies, executed as code, by rule, never by resemblance.
What is Specification–Execution Identity?
The property that each reasoning rule exists in exactly one representation — the executable formula itself — so there is no separate implementation to drift from the rule's statement. Enforced with a bijection verifier and a permanent offline test oracle.
Is Apodicta only for law?
No. The domain lives entirely in a swappable rule library. Any rule-governed determination — research verification, insurance, compliance, credit, clinical guidelines, eligibility — gets the same guarantees.
Why is the professional tier self-hosted?
Confidentiality and physics. No record content reaches an external service, and discovery-scale audio/video never has to upload: Apodicta transcribes and analyzes on hardware next to the evidence, overnight, with no per-minute fees. The free web check needs no setup at all.
Does case data leave my machine?
Not in the professional tier — perception and inference run entirely on hardware the operator controls. The free web check sends only the text you paste, checks it against public registries, and stores nothing.
Is it patented?
Patent pending — a family of three U.S. provisional applications filed July 2026 (Nos. 64/117,521; 64/119,086; 64/121,444) covering the architecture, the enforcement chain, and the Interpretation layer.
