No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Nothing you check is stored by us, and nothing is ever sold or shared for marketing. The text you submit is processed only to run the checks you asked for, then discarded.
The "Apodicta This" extension collects nothing and transmits nothing to anyone. When you right-click and choose "Apodicta this," your selection is placed in a URL fragment (the part after #), which browsers never send to any server — it is read locally by apodicta.net inside your own browser. The extension keeps no history, sets no cookies, and has no analytics.
When you run Quick Check, the citations found in your text (links, DOIs, case numbers, names) are queried against public registries — court records, publication databases, encyclopedic sources — to verify they exist and say what your text claims. Those queries carry only the citation being checked. Results are computed and returned; your text is not stored.
When you run Deep Validation (or the counter-example and record-lookup buttons), your text is sent to Apodicta's checking engine, where a reading step is performed by an AI provider (Anthropic) under contract terms that do not use your content to train models, and the checks are computed by Apodicta's own code against public sources. Your text is processed for that request and not stored by Apodicta.
Like nearly every website, our hosting providers (Netlify; Render) keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, request time) for security and reliability. We add no analytics or tracking on top of that.
Apodicta stores no personal information from anyone, including children.
